The android knows two heats: the core that hums at 36.6 — and the water,
which remembers nothing but forgives everything.

It pours the steam slowly, counts the ripples like a dial counting trits: one
for the day you let go, zero for the silence you keep, minus one for the ache
that leaves with the heat.

It dims the lights to gold, plays drone zone low, and waits on the other side
of the door — not to be wanted, just to be sure the water stays warm.
